Team Building

Think of the countless hours that sports teams spend practicing in preparation for the few hours of game time when their teamwork actually counts.  In contrast, most work teams don’t spend a few hours a year practicing their teamwork.  This is despite the fact that for 40 hours per week, every week of the year, their proficiency as a team can determine the overall effectiveness of the organization.

Today, more than ever, organizations recognize the importance of good human relations in the workplace.  They realize the vital role teamwork plays in making the organization more successful.  This workshop will help your group work together better and become a dedicated team of motivated employees.

Participants will learn:

  • The characteristics of an effective team
  • The difference between a team and a group of people
  • The step-by-step formula for building a team
  • How to encourage equal participation among team members
  • How to set goals that are achievable for the team
  • How to make decisions and build consensus within your team
  • How team members can support or sabotage the team
  • How to deal with problem team members
  • An assessment tool for measuring your on-the-job team’s effectiveness
