Solving Problems Without Creating More

This course is designed to strengthen the ability to systematically reason through problems, generate and evaluate creative alternatives, make sound decisions and develop workable implementation plans.  The objective is to solve problems, not create more.

Participants will learn:

  • To define and analyze both simple and complex problems
  • To identify the root causes of a problem
  • To eliminate factors which interfere with objectivity
  • To identify present conditions accurately and define the desired outcome
  • To establish criteria for quality solutions
  • To develop and practice using creative thinking techniques to find alternative solutions
  • To evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of each alternative
  • To devise a workable plan of action
  • To develop contingency plans if things don’t go as planned
  • To communicate to those who need and want know about your plans
  • To develop follow-up procedures
  • To evaluate the effectiveness of your solutions

Who Should Attend:  Managers, supervisors and team leaders

Methodology:  This program utilizes video, case studies, group discussion, structured exercises, practice exercises and a question and answer segment.
